Job Summary
The Blending Associate is responsible for supporting daily blending operations in a manufacturing environment. This role oversees the blending room workflow, helps maintain production schedules, and ensures raw materials are blended accurately, safely, and on time. The Blending Associate plays a key role in meeting production goals while maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient work area
Key Responsibilities
- Execute and support the daily blend schedule to meet production goals.
- Assign daily tasks to blending staff and temporary workers.
- Monitor operator performance and progress against production schedules.
- Assist blenders with staging, scaling, sanitation, and running blending equipment.
- Maintain daily blending summaries and performance documentation.
- Coordinate with Production to keep schedules on track.
- Work with Maintenance to ensure preventative maintenance is completed.
- Oversee general operations of the blending room.
- Monitor raw material inventory levels and report potential shortages.
- Ensure blending areas remain clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
- Follow GMPs, quality procedures, and company policies.
- Perform minor equipment maintenance and repairs as directed.
- Accurately measure, weigh, and mix raw materials according to formulas.
- Communicate effectively with team members and leadership.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Up to one year of manufacturing or related experience preferred.
- Knowledge of GMPs and Quality Assurance practices.
- Forklift experience is a plus.
- Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Comfortable working a flexible schedule, including overtime, weekends, or holidays as needed.
- Ability to understand formulas and mixing instructions.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Frequent walking, bending, squatting, reaching, and lifting.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Push/pull up to 50 lbs frequently.
