    ABOUT THE ROLE:

    Reporting to the CEO, the VP of Marketing will be responsible for developing and implementing new marketing strategies, driving revenue, leading innovation and leading a digitally first strategic vision for the Blenders Eyewear brand. The VP of Marketing will create and build long term connections with our customers that grow brand awareness and drive traffic. This candidate must be able to balance short-term priorities, while also mapping out the strategy to drive growth over the long haul.

    This role is ideal for an ambitious and strategic people leader who is experienced in driving teams toward efficient full funnel and omnichannel growth. The individual must be highly experienced in digital marketing with e-commerce and brand marketing experience.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • GROWTH DRIVER: Works cross functionally to establish a roadmap for revenue driving growth through strategic business planning, forecasting, multi channel marketing and attribution; Leads campaign strategy and execution; Develops optimization plans for all Marketing channels; Develops performance marketing plans and strategy including acquisition and retention marketing; Oversees staffing, key paid agencies and partnerships to optimize performance; Partners closely with the Product and Operations departments in identifying category opportunities and aligning acquisition strategy with seasonal launches, new product introductions, and category sales targets.
    • E-COMMERCE STRATEGIST: Orchestrates a strategic E-Commerce plan that delivers a superior brand and world-class shopping experience for all customers; Leads E-Commerce strategy: roadmap, budgets, planning, and operational requirements; Develops the websites merchandising vision and strategy, while balancing business needs with technological capabilities; Oversees all online promotional marketing calendars; Monitors performance analytics, website traffic and product performance; Builds and directs a team of E-Commerce professionals that can effectively help develop and execute creative E-Commerce solutions.
    • BRAND STRATEGY DEVELOPER: Defines, champions and delivers brand marketing strategy throughout the omni-channel experience to create consistent and relevant brand and product messaging across all consumer touch points online and offline; Leads new, out-of-the-box thinking that results in breakthrough ideas to lead the brand forward; Supports the creation of the optimal customer journey from discovery to conversion through post-purchase events; Works with the Creative department to develop and align on Marketing campaigns with creative assets and departmental needs.
    • CUSTOMER CHAMPION: Aligns the company around customer centricity; Utilizes data insights and analytics to deliver personalized customer experiences and measurable business results through multi channel attribution
    • STRATEGIC PEOPLE LEADER: Creates and manages the marketing budget, optimizing spend across channels, consumer segments, and geographies; Provides hands-on leadership to build and motivate our in-house and external teams

    REQUIREMENTS

    • You have a successful history of building iconic brands
    • You have digital, direct-to-consumer experience in house at a premium brand and/or at an agency that manages them, and are experienced with maintaining brand integrity and achieving growth
    • You have a track record of building best-in-class teams and creating an environment of empowerment, accountability and inclusivity
    • You have a strong understanding of analytics and performance marketing
    • You are agile, resourceful, and results-motivated
    • You have a passion for understanding the end-to-end customer journey, defining goals at each stage, and know how to effectively pull levers across multiple channels to achieve desired results
    • You can make sense of both complex data as well as trends, understanding and anticipating the potential impact, and using this to shape the direction of the business
    • You bring passion, a sense of pace and agility to be successful in a high-growth, environment
    • You have excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills, plus ability to clearly articulate and express complex and sometimes technical ideas to a wide variety of people and groups at any level

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • 15+ years of experience running marketing at a hyper-growth organization. 8+ years of team management (including Performance Marketing, Social Media, Brand, E-Commerce and Customer Success)
    • Youve managed a P&L, including annual spend across numerous performance-driven marketing channels and understand multi-channel attribution
    • Expert in Growth, Branding, E-Commerce and Digital Marketing. Retail brand experience is a plus!
    • Has experience working with Marketing agencies with direct response marketing strategies
    • Has an excellent understanding of Lifetime Value, Customer Acquisition Cost, Average Order Value, Conversions Rates, and Attribution
    • Extensive experience in Google Analytics and other Marketing analytics tools
    • Normal working hours are Monday through Friday (8:30AM-4:30PM)

    POSITION DETAILS:

    This is a full-time role and reporting directly to the CEO. Normal working hours are Monday through Friday (8:30AM-4:30PM).
