Seeking experienced HVAC Sheet metal Duct Mechanics to join our team. Currently interviewing mechanics with sheet metal or duct board experience for projects located in the NYC area.

As a Duct Mechanic you will be responsible for assembling, installing, and repairing all forms of duct work used in homes, schools, commercial and industrial buildings.

Additional responsibilities

· Studying building plans and working drawings to determine work aids required and sequence of installations.

· Locating and marking position of pipe and/or duct connections and passage holes for same in walls and floors and then cutting openings to accommodate pipe and/or duct fittings, using hand tools and power tools.

· Working with power tools to cut and assemble duct work.

· Installing various types of metal duct, including (round, spiral, rectangular).

· Installing hangers and all related hardware through corridors, confined spaces and other large passages

· Installing various types of units that vary in medium to large tonnage.

· Expected to be able to work lightly supervised at a fast pace

Qualification:

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

· Basic understanding of central air conditioning systems

· Ability to work well with a team

· Attention to detail

· Must be able to bend, climb lift heavy materials

· Self- motivated

· Valid Driver’s license is preferred

Requirements:

· OSHA 30

· HS Diploma

· EPA a plus

· F-60 and G-60 a plus
