    The Finance & Strategy team is looking for a Deal Desk Pricing Analyst. You will work closely with the Global Sales and Account Management teams, and play an essential part in pricing strategy, deal pricing and negotiations, and end operations.

    You will: 

    • Help set competitive pricing across Cash App and Afterpay’s portfolio of products to best position the Sales team to successfully close deals

    • Analyze deal terms with Sales partners, advise on in-process negotiations, and propose creative solutions to optimize outcomes

    • Gather insights and monitor pricing trends, as well as perform pricing audits, to inform changes to go-forward pricing implementation and strategy

    • Approve discounts and promotions, and manage approvals for special terms and conditions

    • Provide ad hoc strategic support including competitive pricing analysis, financial modeling, and performance measurement

    • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders in a fast-paced environment

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    You have:

    • Minimum of 4 years experience in a sales analyst, pricing, or finance position

    • Proficiency in Excel (can perform complex functions). Experience with SQL is a plus

    • Excellent oral, written communication, and presentation skills

    • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines

    • An inquisitive work style

    • Ability to execute independently and engage with team members of all levels

    Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future. Zone A: USD $94,400 - USD $115,400 Zone B: USD $87,800 - USD $107,400 Zone C: USD $80,300 - USD $98,100 Zone D: USD $70,800 - USD $86,600

    This role is also eligible to participate in Block's equity plan subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies, and may be eligible for a sign-on bonus.
