Job Description
We are looking for a Manager who will work as part of TIDAL’s Finance & Strategy team. You will have direct exposure to TIDAL and Block leadership and be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and proposing new strategic initiatives aimed at increasing artists’ economic empowerment via innovative monetization channels and tooling. Finance & Strategy team members have an intimate understanding of the business and industry, use analytical methods to evaluate business trends, answer questions with data-driven insights, and communicate relevant recommendations to business leads. This position can sit in any of Block's office locations and is eligible for full-time work from home/remote.
YOU WILL:
Evaluate, analyze, and propose strategies for new initiatives at TIDAL aimed at i) expanding artist reach via analytical tools, ii) increasing artist revenue via both existing and innovative monetization channels including but not limited to live events, digital experiences, merchandise, and NFTs, and iii) expanding economic empowerment for artists via financial products and services
Build financial models to understand market sizing, financial impact, and trade-offs of various initiatives
Communicate important takeaways and recommendations to TIDAL and Block leadership, Square’s Board of Directors, and Investor Relations team via clear and concise presentations and memos
Keep on top on developments in the creator economy externally to inform strategic options
Build trust among senior leadership and own relationships with business leads
Support planning and forecasting processes for the TIDAL F&S team
Qualifications
YOU HAVE:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or other relevant field
5+ years of relevant industry experience (e.g. strategic finance, tech, consulting, investment banking, private equity)
Experience managing stakeholder relationships and influencing outcomes
Ability to work in unstructured environments and solve ambiguous problems
Excellent proficiency in financial modeling as well as verbal and written communication skills
Commitment to Block’s purpose of Economic Empowerment
Even better:
Experience in music, entertainment, cryptocurrencies, and/or NFTs
Familiarity with developments in the creator economy
