Block by Block is seeking to hire an Operations Manager to provide daily oversight to an awesome Ambassador Program in Boulder. This role will manage a staff that will be deployed throughout the Business Improvement District. This position will require great client relation skills to not only manage daily district program operations, but additionally deliver continual program improvements. We’re looking for someone with strong managerial skills, great work ethic, and someone who understands the importance of creating a great downtown experience.
SPECIFIC DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE OPERATIONS MANAGER MAY INCLUDE:
Manage recruitment, selection of candidates, Onboarding and the training of all new Ambassadors. Our culture is very important to us and we need someone that will create a work family and not just a schedule.
Continual adjustments and management of the deployment of resources to match changing needs. This includes resources of the “human kind.” Basically, redeploying according to daily needs or event schedules.
Continual problem solving and improvement the quality of the program. Problem solving is a very big part of what our Operation Managers do. We need an innovator to lead our teams and improve visitor experience in Boulder!
Procurement and Inventory of supplies and equipment. It takes tools to get the job done quickly and efficiently. Handyman skills or working knowledge of how to maintain equipment is a plus.
Reporting outcomes through a variety of reporting channels; (This means spreadsheets, Kronos Timekeeping, Budgets…you get the idea.)
Hands-on working management in the field to provide coaching, mentoring, and continuous training on standard policies and procedures.
