    We are looking for a Maintenance Mechanic to work in Sun Chemical's Maumee, OH Plant; 2nd or 3rd shift TBD.  We offer a competitive starting pay based on skill and experience, bare minimum of $25.00/hour.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Performs routine, emergency, and preventive maintenance
    • Evaluate equipment malfunctions with a sense of urgency to minimize safety and downtime
    • Read work orders and specifications for machines and equipment requiring repair or maintenance
    • Inspect or test damaged parts and advise supervisor of repairs needed
    • Install, replace, or change machine parts and attachments, according to production specifications
    • Assures that proper documentation is completed and spare parts are accurately maintained and identified to provide rapid response to problems
    • Modify equipment as necessary to improve safety, quality, productivity and reliability – following all generally Accepted Engineering Standards, Management of Change protocol
    • Repair, calibrate and preventive maintenance on a wide variety of electronic and pneumatic equipment
    • Assist in general plant cleaning and general appearance

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • CMRT Certification or equivalent experience
    • Ability to read blueprints, sketches and equipment manuals
    • Knowledge of pipe fitting, electrical wiring and general mechanics
    • Experience with pumps (diaphragm and centrifugal) drives: gearbox, belts, chain, hydraulic, couplings, motor-air, bearings, shafts, nuts, bolts, taps, and dies
    • Electrical: High voltage 460 volt 3 phase, motor controls, low voltage
    • Air compressor system- including filters regulators, dryers, and lubricators.
    • Strong math aptitude
    • Proven ability to communicate with all levels of the organization, vendors and contractors, including Corp Engineering, Leadership and production scheduling

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Experience with SAP CMMS or equivalent CMMS programs
    • Experience with Microsoft Office programs
    • PLC software
