    Estimator for Landscape Construction

    A Commercial Landscape company has engaged Bloom Partners in the Charleston, SC, market to recruit and hire a Landscape Project Estimator to join their landscape installation team. This could be the perfect fit if you are looking for a career with an established landscaping company with plenty of room to grow.

    Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Estimator will analyze new construction documents, prepare the takeoffs for those designs, and prepare bids according to the required specifications. This position is responsible for developing accurate and timely proposals and estimates for both private and public sector works projects to ensure the client is a responsive bidder.

    POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

    • Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
    • Efficient problem-solving skills with a positive attitude
    • Resourcefulness to produce budgetary estimates
    • Analytical skills to review subcontractor bids and vendor quotes
    • Ability to coordinate bidding of multiple projects
    • Deadline driven for bidding and completion of sold projects
    • Excellent communication and math skills
    • Proficient in using Microsoft Office and preferably landscaping-specific software
    • Undergraduate degree in a related field is a plus.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Understand bid documents, qualify requests to bid, and communicate to the team.
    • Foster a quality culture, perform accurate take-offs, request quotes, and communicate with General Contractors.
    • Work with Officers, Project Manager, and Production Manager to produce accurate and completed bids.
    • Present estimates and participate in bid reviews with senior management.
    • Follow up on all proposals, update sales logs, mentor estimating staff, and participate in pre-construction services.
    • Lead means and method discussions, drive creative thinking, and distinguish a successful estimate.

    COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

    • $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
    • This full-time position includes paid time off, benefits, potential truck/car allowance, and a competitive salary commensurate with experience.
