    Mission: We're seeking a highly skilled Director of Preconstruction to take the reins of our client's bidding process while collaborating with their veteran Landscape Architects. You'll manage their preconstruction process, deliver competitive bids, build strong partnerships with clients and colleagues, and contribute to our exceptional track record.

    Responsibilities:

    • Preconstruction Leadership: Oversee the preconstruction process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Develop and refine best practices for even greater efficiency.
    • Bid Development: Lead the preparation of comprehensive, detailed, and winning bids for commercial landscape development projects.
    • Cost Analysis: Collaborate with estimating teams for accurate cost models, risk assessments, and value engineering.
    • Client Collaboration: Build strong relationships with clients, architects, and other stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and project alignment.
    • Team Management: Mentor and guide the preconstruction team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
    • Industry Insights: Stay up-to-date on industry trends, regulations, and innovative landscape design solutions.

    The Work & Culture:

    • Project Scope: Projects ranging $100k to $1.2mm.
    • Margins: Enjoy the advantage of historically delivering higher margins than the competition.
    • Approach: Primarily bid-build, outsourcing designs while closely managing the process.
    • Self-Perform Focus: 90% self-perform work, with hardscapes subcontracted.
    • Team Collaboration: Work with GMs and BDs on enhancements sales support.
    • Success Foundation: Strong pipeline and an impressive penetration rate.

    Qualifications:

    • Experience: 5+ years in a preconstruction or estimating leadership role within landscaping, construction, or a related field.
    • Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of landscape construction principles, materials, costing, and project scheduling. Proficiency in relevant software a must.
    • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex project plans and identify potential challenges.
    • Leadership: Strong in mentoring and team development.
    • Communication and Negotiation: Excellent interpersonal skills for client interactions and written and verbal communication within the company.

    Compensation and Benefits:

    • Flexibility: We offer flexibility in compensation for the ideal candidate.
    • Base Salary: $90k to $120k+
