    Bloom Partners has been engaged by a fast-growing Commercial Landscape company in the Palm Springs, CA area to recruit and hire a seasoned Landscape Maintenance Operations Manager to join their team.

    The Operations Manager is a fast-paced job that offers a variety of activities while overseeing all of the maintenance division and supporting a large staff. This is a job that keeps you outside and, on the go, and gives you a high degree of control within your team. The Operations Manager achieves success by managing hours, quality, and safety in the field. This position reports directly to the Branch Manager.     COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS include:

    • Base $90k - $100k a year

    • Yearly bonus up to 20% of base salary

    RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:

    • Manage multiple crews daily for maintenance, enhancements, and construction.

    • Support and communicate company vision, policies, procedures, and training programs to all field employees.

    • Be familiar with each job’s specifications and achieve high quality within expected labor hours, materials, and subcontractor costs.

    • Work with Branch Manager to map out daily, weekly, and seasonal work schedules and routes.

    • Coordinate manpower, equipment, and materials as needed.

    • Perform inspections of equipment and vehicles to see that all is being maintained properly.

    • Work closely with Account Managers to ensure client requests are responded to in a timely manner.

    • Manage operational issues and quickly implement alternative and creative solutions.

    • Participate in the hiring and successful onboarding new crew leaders and crew members.

    • Encourage growth and development through training programs and succession planning.

    • Provide coaching and timely feedback to your reports.

    • Oversee and implement performance improvement processes when needed.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Familiarity and comfort with Aspire or another landscaping industry business management software is a must.

    • Possess a valid California Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.

    • 5 years of professional landscape management experience is preferred.

    • A 2 or 4-year degree in Horticulture, Plant Science, or another related field is beneficial.

    • Excellent working knowledge of commercial landscaping.

    • Obtain Qualified Applicator's License (QAL) within the first year on the job; complete required continuing education hours to maintain it thereafter.

    • Must be bilingual (Spanish).

    • Experience managing large groups of people.

    • Comfortable working in extreme heat.
