    TITLE: Marketing & Outreach Coordinator DEPARTMENT: Marketing

    STATUS: FT, Salary, Exempt, NBU REPORTS TO: Marketing & Communications Manager

    PURPOSE: This role administers and performs the functions associated with brand marketing and advertising, ownership services and board support.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

    CUSTOMER SERVICE

    Provide internal and external customers with excellent service at all times.

    Treat people fairly, consistently, and with respect.

    Ensure efficient, informative, and friendly service in all areas according to established customer service vision and standards.

    Use appropriate language, behavior, appearance, and overall conduct with or in the presence of customers, vendors, and store personnel according to BCS and store policies.

    ADVERTISING & PROMOTIONS

    Assist in the coordination of media participation in advocating public policies consistent with the co-op’s ends.

    Assist with valuable, engaging content for website, e-newsletter, social media and other communication avenues.

    Coordinate and participate in regular store promotions planning (to ensure appropriate and effective strategies are used to execute the brand within the store and externally).

    Work with Managers to coordinate advertising and other publicity for promotions. Produce publications for promotions – special flyers, coupons, recipes, and nutrition information.

    Participate in the development and facilitation of special projects as needed to support & engage the membership and customers. (Examples: member loan program, annual survey, annual meeting, tent sale)

    Assist with positive representation of the co-op to the media and the public.

    Participate in department meetings to plan promotions and in-store merchandising.

    Work with Marketing Manager to coordinate advertising and other publicity for promotions and publications.

    Provide support in marketing initiatives. (Examples: promotion metrics, tracking and monitoring)

    Perform other tasks assigned by the Marketing Manager.

    OWNERSHIP SERVICES

    Facilitate achievement of membership growth objectives with strategies, trainings and support materials for staff.

    Participate in the development and implementation of owner benefits and engagement strategies such as owner meetings, celebrations and input sessions.

    Monitor and respond appropriately to owner communications including in-person, telephone, and digital means.

    Assist Board Administrator as needed.

    Other duties as assigned

    MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS

    Assist with and monitor timelines/promotional schedule for events, working with communications staff to ensure adequate and proper promotion

    Manage the promotional aspects of events including, but not limited to, the following:

    Develop any registration materials required for events

    Coordinate event logistics and publicity, including public relations, advertising and collateral material design, production and distribution.

    Review promotional materials (including advertising)

    Write articles for internal and external publications to promote the events held, both before and after events.

    Ensure events section of website remains current.

    Navigate options and negotiate contracts from service providers.

    Measure and report performance of marketing campaign ROI utilizing POS system.

    Monitor and distribute customer feedback forms collected from all stores.

    Maintain branding and communications components of the POS system.

    Participation in co-op-sponsored events teams.

    Assist with market research and data mining to identify customer trends

    COMMUNICATION

    Attend Administrative, Departmental, and Store level meetings as needed.

    Provide regular opportunities to receive feedback from all staff.

    Offer constructive and fair coaching and feedback to all staff.

    Maintain open communication links with customers to address inquiries and feedback.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    Associate degree in marketing, visual communications, media design or equivalent experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

    Experience with social media advertising. Facebook advertising certification or equivalent preferred.

    Proficient in MS Office and Adobe Creative Cloud software. Experience in Adobe Creative Suite and Hootsuite or equivalent software preferred.

    Experience in database management.

    Substantial knowledge of the cooperative business model.

    Professional and effective communication; verbally and in writing to a diverse audience.

    Flexibility, willingness to learn/adjust/adapt to changing priorities, requirements and conditions.

    Excellent time-management, problem prevention and problem-solving skills.

    Work accurately with close attention to detail.

    Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

    Possess a work ethic that includes neatness, punctuality and accuracy.

    Excellent interpersonal skills.
