The role we are currently looking to fill is a primary Hi-Lo Driver and fill-in floater for Hi-Lo Downtimes as needed. This position consists of safely loading/unloading pallets of product for tractor-trailers, verifying product and counts as we receive and ship them, putting pallets of product away in the warehouse, and organizing and keeping the warehouse and product neat and orderly. This position is also responsible for keeping the departments stocked with products critical to keep production moving without delay. Hi-Lo Operator is a fast-paced position. And, while you will be on a sit-down hi-lo and continuously moving as you perform this job, the number one priority above anything is safety! Your safety and the safety of others are always the number one priority. You must have a track record of safe hi-lo driving and safe operation of equipment. Essential functions of this role require the ability to sit for up to 6-8 hours per day, and also be able to climb on and off the hi-lo as needed. When there is downtime for hi-lo work, this role will be used for a variety of roles, from temporarily filling in on an automated line, checking shipments in/out, cleaning up and arranging the warehouse area so that it is neat and organized, and anything else operations management might need assistance with. • Experience operating automated production lines (preferred but not necessary)
• Ability to keep pace with an automated line to keep production moving
• Knowledge of machinery and equipment used in production processes
• Strong attention to detail to ensure quality control
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects
• Excellent communication skills to work effectively with team members
