    POSITION SUMMARY:

    This role will work closely with Digital Experience Managers with Blue Acorn iCi's Clients and external design agencies - the candidate should be comfortable explaining the design framework and pushing back on agencies if needed in order to ensure compliance with GSK standards. Candidate should also have a great understanding of optimization testing.

    ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES:

    • Lead design for and manage the Website Experience Framework Design System product.
    • Set standards for design that enable agency designers to work more efficiently and focus primarily on creative and content development, while ensuring compliance with Legal and Regulatory requirements.
    • Ensure website designs follow WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards.
    • Prototype designs, which can range from simple paper sketches to high-fidelity and interactive digital mock-ups
    • Assess agency designs for adherence to design standards and UX best practices and collaborate with agency partners to ensure feedback is pulled through early in design process.
    • Analyze and identify pain points from the users’ perspective, data insights in tools such as Adobe Analytics, Quantum Metric, and Qualtrics
    • Leverage experimentation strategies to ensure UX decisions are data and market driven
    • Test and track user website journeys to ensure they are driving the correct behavior and delivering optimal UX results.
    • Evangelize the latest thinking in user experience design, approaches and strategies
    • Collaborate with and advise other functions to define the nature of, and desired outcomes from, UX recommendations.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Firm understanding of interaction design, and experience applying it to deliver frictionless user experiences
    • Experience with Design Thinking and Atomic Design
    • Expertise in UX software such as Adobe XD (preferred), Sketch, InVision, Zeplin, is a must.
    • Understanding of Responsive web design principles and developing for multiple channels, devices and browsers
    • An understanding of front-end web development including HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
    • Strong understanding of web best practices including SEO/SEM, A/B testing, and conversion rate optimization
    • Ability to work with customers and product owners to understand detailed requirements and design complete user experiences that meet their needs and vision.
    • Solid grasp of user-centered design and testing methodologies, with a focus on usability and accessibility.
    • Strong understanding of web metrics, digital testing methodology and optimization strategies
    • Familiar with marketing technology tools such as Adobe Experience Manager, Adobe Target, and Google/Adobe Analytics.
    • Adept at vendor/agency management to maintain healthy partnerships and deliver operational excellence
    • Domain knowledge and experience in multichannel/digital marketing preferred
    • Ability to work independently and manage tasks in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and requirements
    • Experience in Agile and Scrum methodologies and collaboration tools including JIRA, Confluence is highly desirable.
    • Familiar working within the constraints of an established design system
    • Ability to explain and document the reasoning behind the UX decisions based on enterprise and industry best practices
    • A documented design portfolio outlining your design process with shipped products.

    TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

    This position may require travel upon request.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS REQUIREMENTS: Common office/desk environment that involves long periods of time at a stationary desk with extensive computer work that requires repetitive motion of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
