Description:
• Blue Cheetah is seeking an EDA/PDK CAD engineer to help with our design infrastructure to boost team efficiency. Background with PDK's, EDA tools, IC design flow required.
• Work alongside fellow team members as well as analog, digital, and software engineers to create and maintain a world class design flow.

• While we are headquartered in Sunnyvale, this position will allow for the right candidate to work for us remotely (US locations only, with authorization to work in the US).
Requirements:
• BS, MS or Ph.D. in electrical engineering and computer science
• Knowledge and interest in challenging industry leading CAD tools and methodologies
• Self-starter will drive to figure out better ways to solve problems.
• 5+ years industry experience
Job Detail Overview:
• Installing and configuring PDKs and EDA tools. The CAD engineer installs and configures the PDKs and EDA tools on our cloud-based design environment. This includes setting up the necessary licenses, libraries, and configuration files for optimal efficiency.
• Managing PDK and PD collateral versions ensuring compatibility with other software and hardware used in the design flow and keeping up to date with the latest software and technology updates.
• Enable, Run, and Support Physical layout, DRC, LVS, EM/IR and extraction flows as well as circuit level and mixed signal simulation environments.
• Testing and verifying the design setup by working closely with the design team to check the results and validate the usability (simulation test cases; results analysis; identify issues and plan for improvements).
• Troubleshooting and support for any issues that arise with the design environment. This may involve working with software vendors or foundries to resolve the issue or develop a work-around solution. Additionally, the CAD engineer will support the design team for bugs and continuous improvement of the flow.
• Maintaining an open channel of communication with the entire design team, soliciting feedback in order to proactively create overlays and programs to make everyone's job easier.
