    ABOUT US:

    We are a new company, with experienced leaders, passionate about helping people with developmental and intellectual disabilities become employed! We just launched in Sacramento and are looking for people who are just as passionate as us to join our team.

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    As an Employment Counselor you will help adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities build the skills necessary to gain and maintain competitive integrated employment. Using our training, curriculum, and your own ingenuity and talent you will help participants develop:

    • Job readiness skills

    • On the job hard and soft skills

    • Coping strategies

    • Social Skills

    • Community Resources

    • And more!

    *This job will begin as a partially remote position, then transition to a community based position following the relaxation of Covid-19 restrictions.

    REQUIREMENTS

    We don’t care if you have 20 years in the industry or none, what we want to know is:

    • Can you teach new skills
    • Can you thrive in a team AND on your own
    • Are you driven to see results
    • Can you stay calm and focused around challenging behaviors

    In line with that philosophy, we ask that you take 1 assessment to help us determine your ability to thrive with us. It will be emailed to you after you apply and take about 10 minutes.     POPULATION WE WORK WITH:

    • Adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities

    THERE ARE A FEW MUST HAVES:

    • Clean driving record (no major violations)
    • Clean background check
    • A reliable car (you will transport participants in your car)
    • Highschool diploma
    • CPR/FA certification 30 days after being hired (we reimburse this cost)

    SOME IMPORTANT DETAILS:

    • 7 hour work day (6hrs with clients)
    • Monday-Friday
    • No major holidays
    • Mileage Reimbursement $0.58/mi (you will use your car to transport clients throughout the day)

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $18.00 per hour

    COVID-19 considerations: We are currently providing hybrid services to our participants with the majority of our services online and about 6 hours a week in person. In person services are outside, masked, and do not currently include any transportation.
