    We are seeking a dedicated maintenance technician to join our team! In this role, you will work closely with our Facilities Manager and General Manager to ensure our building receives the care it deserves. Your responsibilities will involve creating and managing a checklist of daily, weekly, and monthly tasks to maintain the smooth operation of our facilities. As the primary point of contact for urgent repairs, you will need to live within a 20-minute radius of Blue. Previous experience in general maintenance is required, and while certifications are not mandatory, practical skills and a knack for troubleshooting will be essential to uphold our standards. Making sure there is efficient functioning of our facilities, conducting regular inspections to identify any issues or damage, and performing routine maintenance on our equipment to optimize performance. Additionally, you will collaborate daily with our front office staff to coordinate tasks and uphold the impeccable appearance of our Blue Inn for our valued guests. This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual who can follow instructions effectively and take pride in maintaining a welcoming environment for all. Responsibilities: • Ensure all equipment and systems such as HVAC units, plumbing fixtures, and electrical wiring are in working order by conducting routine maintenance and handle any repairs, if needed • Check the building for any damage to doors, windows, walls, and make any repairs as needed • Take additional maintenance requests as assigned • Make records of when any equipment was services and repairs were made • Develop and execute preventative maintenance measures to keep our equipment operating efficiently and prevent any safety risks • Work on the interior and the exterior of the property to ensure proper maintenance • Complete guestroom work orders in a prompt and efficient manner • Perform repairs on heating, cooling, and plumbing • Respond quickly and professionally to guest needs • Perform painting tasks including patching drywall, caulking, cosmetic touch-ups • Deliver and/or remove furnishings from rooms as needed • Routinely participate in preventative maintenance programs • Complete daily assigned responsibilities and provide guests with excellent customer service Qualifications: • Excellent work ethic, communication skills, time management skills, and attention to detail • Knowledge of heating and air conditioning units, plumbing systems, and electrical systems • At least 2 years of maintenance experience • High school diploma/GED or equivalent • Needs to have availability to respond on nights and weekends to on-call maintenance requests • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or a minimum of three years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience • Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English • Previous hotel/building experience a plus Compensation: $20 - $22 hourly
