    Job Summary

    The Quality Control Technician is responsible for ensuring the quality of product and adherence to customer and regulatory requirements. This role will report to the Quality Assurance Manager.

    Position Responsibilities

    • Performs daily instrumentation calibrations
    • Performs analysis of liquid samples before packaging to ensure adherence to customer specifications
    • Performs sensory analysis on product before packaging
    • Performs hourly checks of carbonation, dissolved oxygen, and can seam checks during production
    • Performs qualitative microbial testing
    • Performs distillations to measure alcohol by volume
    • Records and enters data
    • Collects and organizes retention samples
    • Communicates to manager/supervision when results are outside of specification
    • Follows all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) for the area worked
    • Supports Good Manufacturing Practices by monitoring and reporting violations
    • Ensures personal safety, food safety, and quality protocols are followed, especially with a focus on adherence to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) protocols and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs)
    • Document all in specification and out of specification conditions
    • Execute the immediate action procedure when defective product is detected
    • Daily monitoring of all Quality checks being performed
    • Prioritize job duties to react to the most urgent quality issues and optimize time efficiency as defined by Supervisor - Quality
    • Other duties assigned by the Supervisor/Manager

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Minimum high school diploma required, Bachelor’s degree in scientific, quality, manufacturing, or related fields preferred
    • Must be 21 years of age
    • HAACP certificate preferred
    • Experience in a food and beverage manufacturing preferred
    • Proficiency with advanced testing equipment and instrumentation preferred
    • Must be highly computer literate with capability in email, MS Office, and related business and communication tools
    • Must be able to collect, interpret, and/or analyze data and information
    • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Must have great attention to detail, good record keeping, essential problem-solving methods and initiative.
    • Must have the ability to learn and apply policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines.
    • Must have the ability to perform assigned tasks in a timely and accurate manner with minimal supervision.
    • Must have the ability to receive, understand and proactively respond to direction from supervisors/managers and other members of leadership.
    • Must have the ability to work as part of a team and interact effectively with others.
    • Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes.
    • Organized/interpersonal skills
    • Ability to perform alternate QA functions as require
    • Inspects work in progress and record observations
    • An ability to identify, communicate, and champion process improvement opportunities that will benefit the entire content operations team
    • QMS experience in a distribution environment a plus
    • Must be an organized and self-motivated individual
    • Must be able to read, recognize and speak the English language
    • Must be able to work overtime when needed

    • Location: This role will be located at our US Corporate Office in Indianapolis, IN.

    Work Environment & Physical Requirements

    This position requires the ability to remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods, communicating with others to exchange information, repeating motions that may include wrists, hands and/or fingers, looking at electronic systems/media up to 8 hours daily, assessing the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned.
