Retail Operations Supervisor - Estate Sales

The Operations Supervisor is an expert when it comes to running an estate sale. Within this role, you will be in control to make sure that the sale process runs smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for supervising the on-site team and providing oversight and direction.

Responsibilities:

Be knowledgeable on each aspect of the estate sale process to effectively answer all questions that arise before, during and after the sale

Assist owners in hiring and training new team members

Supervise ongoing estate sales operations and estate sale team members

Consciously create a workplace culture that is consistent with the Blue Moon Estate Sales core values and brand standards

Communicate expectations and priorities to team

Provide ongoing feedback and direction to team

Responsible for removing, sorting and organizing items throughout clients’ homes, including those in attics, basements, storage areas, etc.

Stage, photograph, and price items in the client's home to create a pop-up retail shop environment

Be responsible for sale effectiveness and profitability

Strive for continuous improvements to enhance sale effectiveness and profitability

Qualifications:

Previous estate sale or retail experience would be preferred, but not necessary

Ability to manage a team as well as processes

Customer service oriented

Reliable and trustworthy

Ethical, act with integrity

Ability to work flexible hours and in a variety of locations - Locations will vary from week to week depending on the sizes of clients’ homes and the number of sales happening

Punctuality

Access to reliable transportation within Cincinnati / Northern KY metro region

Access to mobile smartphone

Ability to lift up to 50lbs
