    POSITION SUMMARY: 

    Blue Raven Solar has been one of the fastest growing companies in Utah for the last 4 years and is #20 on GlassDoor's Best Places to Work list (of 1.3 million companies). We expect to pass $170M of revenue this year and have all kinds of interesting problems to solve.   

    The ideal candidate will be between their junior and senior years in college.  The internship at Blue Raven Solar is multifaceted.  It is project-based and oriented around solving our most pressing problems.  In past summers this has included: 

    • an elaborate market study aimed at benchmarking our performance relative to solar and other similar service-based companies, which helped us to identify performance gaps and areas requiring investment 
    • a series of internally-focused analyses aimed at identifying opportunities for cost-savings in our supply chain, labor practices and office coordination 
    • the initial spade work for our internal sales development program (the group that vets incoming leads and sets sales appointments for closers in the field)

     

    We have a fresh batch of problems for the summer of 2021 and we hope to hire 2-4 interns between their junior and senior years, preferably in a practical program that requires some math (Strategy, Supply Chain, etc.). The Blue Raven Solar Internship brings bright, motivated individuals the opportunity to receive mentorship, supervision, and training in a Corporate environment. The intern will gain hands-on experience, attend various cross functional presentations, and not only learn, but contribute to the mission of the business by addressing multiple needs of the department and team. The specific project for this summer is yet to be determined, but it will fall along the same lines as the above. 

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES: 

    Candidates must have a high attention to detail, a desire to learn more about solar technology including the key parts and pieces that makeup a solar array, and a willingness to communicate with internal employees and external partners. Some responsibilities may include: 

    • Ambitious, willing to dig into a problem, determine the root cause, and execute solutions 

    • Assist with writing engaging copy for blogs and portions of the company site. 

    • Perform department tasks as needed. 

    • Assist with daily administrative duties. 

    • Assist in improvement of existing standard processes. 

    • Innovate and Continuously Improve upon team efficiency

     

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

    A strong candidate will be able to show a track record of: 

    • Solid attendance and work ethic 

    • Communicating well with people of varied backgrounds 

    • Willingness to collaborate with other departments and build meaningful relationships with key stakeholders in solving issues 

    • Students majoring in Business, Strategy, Supply Chain, Marketing, Data Systems, etc. 

    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite 

    • Strong communication and organizational skills 

    • High energy and desire to successfully manage projects and execute with all projects assigned 

    • Attention to details and deadline oriented 

    • A great attitude and willingness to produce results quickly and efficiently 

    • Excellent project management, organizational and critical thinking skills 

    • An independent mind looking to make a deep and meaningful impact on the future of the energy industry 

    • A well-rounded human who takes joy in her/his work and takes in the people around him/her

    Pay: $15 per hour with required 12 weeks of continuous work
