POSITION SUMMARY:

The Professional Engineer's responsibility is to review, approve, and certify all structural aspects of PV solar installations to residential projects. The Professional Engineer will complete daily stamps and advise management on efficiency opportunities to operate well and position Blue Raven Solar to scale with demand.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Stamp Blue Raven Solar plan sets and write structural review letters on various residential structures

  • Stamp all Blue Raven Solar plan sets each day (currently 20-50)
  • Complete post install letter, and re-stamp work to maintain operational balance and stamping volume
  • Direct EIT's in correct analysis procedures to maintain operational balance and stamping volume

• While maintaining throughput, identify opportunities to improve workflow efficiency

  • Develop in-house structural analysis tools or advise on existing 3rd party software
  • Create a process to quickly identify complex jobs (>45 minutes for analysis) to send to 3rd party structural engineers for analysis and stamp
  • Escalate inefficient workflows

• Create durable processes and workflows that increase throughput, even during times of rapid growth

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Three to six months operational experience
• Strong communication skills

COMPETENCIES

• Licensed Structural PE in at least one of the following states: Colorado, Oregon, Texas, Washington, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Utah, Florida, Illinois, Idaho, Ohio, Indiana
• Willing to test for licenses in states that Blue Raven Solar is currently or plans to operate in
• Preferred: Experience stamping PV plan sets
