    We are seeking a User Experience UX Researcher to lead research, UI designers, and establish our formal UX practice at Blue Ridge. This is an opportunity to have an enormous impact on the customer experience for all Blue Ridge customers. You’ll have leadership over all Blue Ridge software’s features and functionality, from onboarding to day-to-day supply chain planning. Additionally, you will lead innovation for new products which address every area of supply chain planning and execution.

    You will lead the team to research best-in-class workflows, interfaces, and content. You’ll work directly with product and engineering to elevate and evolve the customer experience and deliver our shared vision and shared product goals. The ideal candidate is a passionate, and pragmatic user experience and design leader that can analyze customer behaviors, identify opportunities to solve problems, and create an innovative customer experience in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. You will be a member of the senior product leadership team where you will influence the strategic vision for our products and prioritization.

    The successful candidate will be a strong and empathetic leader of research and design professionals while still eager to be involved in the day-to-day. This role is fully remote with infrequent travel required for key team events or company meetings.

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

    • 5+ years of experience as a user experience researcher, designer, interaction designer, product designer or similar role designing mobile, web, and/or other applications.
    • 3+ years of experience successfully leading and managing large multi-disciplinary design teams.
    • An online portfolio of work demonstrating experience creating great user-centered design solutions across desktop and mobile devices.
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills
    • Proven experience with rapid, iterative research, design and development processes
    • Proven track record presenting to and influencing people, from other designers to senior executive management.
    • Experience presenting to and effectively advising senior leaders outside of research and design.
    • Experience leading projects in a collaborative multi-disciplinary team including designers, researchers, design technologists, writers, product managers, program managers, and software developers.
    • Fluency in best practices for multi-platform research, information architecture and design, as well as strong knowledge of usability principles and techniques
    • Bachelor’s, or equivalent degree, in Design, HCI, or related field or equivalent professional experience within the design field

    NICE-TO-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS

    • 10+ years of experience as a user experience researcher, designer, interaction designer, product designer or similar role designing mobile, web, and/or other applications.
    • 5+ years of experience successfully leading and managing large multi-disciplinary design teams.
    • Experience hiring and recruiting talented researchers and designers.
    • Experience with remote team management across numerous time zones
    • Supply Chain experience
    • Expert knowledge of accessibility best practices
