JOB SUMMARY

A Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and proper storage of all china, glass and silver, and ensuring the highest standards of sanitation. He/she is also responsible for assisting the kitchen staff in maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen and all storage areas; specifically for cleaning all equipment, utensils, and the physical work area. He/she is also responsible for assisting with proper food storage and rotation.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education & Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.

Physical requirements :

• Long hours sometimes required.
• Heavy work - Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 50 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
• Ability to stand during entire shift.

Mental requirements :

• Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
• Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
• Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.
• Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.

While performing the duties of this position, the job regularly requires one to Move, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Carry a banquet serving tray, filled to capacity, overhead/on shoulder; Stand or walk for an entire work shift.

Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules (including Holidays and weekends) to reflect the business needs of the hotel. In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required.
