    Scope of Services:**

    The IT Demand Management and Prioritization – Process Consultant is responsible for developing a process to manage and respond to the demand for IT services and resources within the organization. The process and templates will involve understanding, prioritizing, and fulfilling the needs and requests for IT services from various stakeholders. The responsibilities include assessing and ranking IT demands based on factors such as business value, strategic alignment, urgency, and available resources. The goal is to allocate IT resources in a way that maximizes business impact and aligns with the overall objectives of the organization. The consultant is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the entire process of demand management. This includes working closely with business stakeholders to understand their IT requirements, evaluating and prioritizing these demands, and collaborating with IT teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery of services. Overall, the role plays a crucial part in ensuring that IT resources are used optimally to support the organization's strategic objectives.

    Roles, Responsibilities, and Deliverables:**

    • Collaborating with business units to identify and document their IT service and resource needs.
    • Assessing and prioritizing demands based on predefined criteria, considering factors like business strategy, value, and urgency.
    • Working with IT, Finance, and Leadership teams to allocate resources effectively to meet the prioritized demands.
    • Communicating with stakeholders to manage expectations, providing updates on the status of IT projects, and addressing any concerns.
    • Regularly reviewing and refining the demand management and prioritization processes to enhance efficiency and alignment with business goals.
    • Developing robust demand management for stakeholders within org that require IT support

    Knowledge, Skill & Competency Requirements:**

    • Understanding of ITSM frameworks (e.g., ITIL) and best practices for managing IT services.
    • Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) and the ability to oversee projects related to demand management.
    • Comfortable with road mapping and financials
    • Knowledge of the organization's business operations, objectives, and strategies to align IT services with business needs.
    • Understanding of IT governance principles and practices to ensure that IT initiatives align with organizational goals and policies.
    • Knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure, and technologies to assess the feasibility and impact of IT demands.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with stakeholders at various levels and convey technical information in a clear and understandable manner.
    • Ability to analyze and evaluate IT demands based on criteria such as business value, urgency, and resource availability.
    • Effective problem-solving skills to address challenges in demand management and prioritize conflicting requirements.
    • Skill in managing relationships with various stakeholders, including business leaders, IT teams, and vendors.
    • Ability to facilitate change and manage resistance within the organization when implementing new IT demand management processes.
    • Competency in evaluating and prioritizing demands based on business impact, strategic alignment, and available resources.
    • Leadership qualities to guide teams and influence stakeholders in achieving common objectives.
    • Ability to adapt to changes in business priorities, technology, and organizational structure.

    Education & Experience:**

    • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
    • Relevant certifications in IT Service Management (ITIL), Project Management (PMP or PRINCE2), or other related certifications could be advantageous.
    • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in IT management, project management, or a related field.
    • Utilities experience is a plus.
