    Position: Financial Operations Specialist
    Location: Chicago, IL (Remote)
    Contract to Hire: 3 to 6 Months, convert to Full-Time.
    Hours: 40 Hours Per Week
    Rate: $20 - $25/hr
    Start Date: ASAP

    Responsibilities:

    We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Financial Operations Specialist to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals with 1 to 3 years of relevant experience who are looking to further develop their skills and expertise in financial operations. The Financial Operations Specialist will play a key role in managing day-to-day financial activities and supporting strategic initiatives.

    Financial Management:

    • Oversee and execute various financial operations processes, including invoice processing, expense tracking, and reconciliation of financial accounts.
    • Cash Flow Management and Discussions with Partners
    • Monthly Financial Meeting with Partners to discuss Financial Projections, Expense projections, and reconciliation of the month.
    • Develop and maintain budgets and forecasts, aligning financial management
    • Regularly analyze revenue and expense trends, identifying areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities
    • Collect payments from clients and accurately record the information.
    • Generate monthly financial statements and related analyses for internal stakeholders.
    • Drive the annual tax process, including reconciliation, documentation, and liaising with accountants.
    • Conduct end-of-year closeout tasks

    Operations Management:

    • Collaborate with partners to cultivate relationships with clients and consultants.
    • Organize accounts and files to assist in the creation of client deliverables.
    • Manage all areas of business operations, not limited to Financial and Operations
    • Develop statements of work (SOWs) and add amendments when necessary.
    • Collect consultants’ timesheets and create invoices monthly.
    • Engage in weekly meetings with managing partners to discuss consulting-related matters and create work plans.

    **
    Requirements:**

    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
    • Proven experience (1-3 years) in a financial operations, financial management, or related field
    • Experienced with Excel required; experience with QuickBooks preferred.
