J ob Title: Business Analyst / Software Selection / Inventory Management Analyst
Rate: $120 per hour
Duration: 4 weeks to make a software selection; strong potential for extension based on recommendation
Timing: Mid-October to Mid-November
Location: Hybrid – Will be required to travel onsite to Louisiana (client will pay for expenses)

Scope of Services:**
The Business Analyst will collaborate closely with key stakeholders to thoroughly understand the current state of business processes and leverage expertise to make a Software Selection and craft a comprehensive Request for Proposal (RFP). The client has high growth targets over the next 5 years (40%+) and needs to transition from Microsoft Excel and Power BI to a more robust technological solution. The technological solution should be a scalable tool appropriate for manufacturing. The consultant will then engage with stakeholders to summarize finding and make a Software Selection recommendation.

Roles, Responsibilities and Deliverables:**
- Onboard and develop a Project Plan
- Prepare current state process, requirements, and scope templates/questionnaires
- Identify stakeholders, schedule and conduct interviews
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to compile a comprehensive list of challenges and inefficiencies currently affecting the production planning, execution, headcount resource requirements, cost estimation, quality and traceability, and physical inventory tracking systems.
- Summarize findings and recommendations of a scalable software selection appropriate for manufacturing , including requirements, scope, timeline, and Request for Proposal
- Review findings and recommendations with leadership by clearly presenting the Request for Proposal in a format that is actionable and easy to understand, complete with timelines, milestones, and anticipated outcomes.
- Publish RFP and Answer questions
- Receive and review responses
- Evaluate responses, suppliers, and solutions
- Negotiate and contract software solution
- Prepare the implementation of the software solution
- Conduct requirement gathering, then go through a Software Selection process to recommend a more robust and appropriate tech solution than Microsoft Excel and Power BI

Key Experiences**
- Software Selection: Candidate needs to be an expert at identifying the deployment environment and selecting software based on compatibility with the deployment environment and with client needs and business objectives.
- Inventory Management Analyst: Demonstrated experience in analyzing, optimizing, and streamlining inventory management processes to enhance operational efficiency.
- Process Improvement: Proven track record of identifying process inefficiencies, designing streamlined workflows, and leading successful process improvement initiatives.
- JD Power: Experience using JD Power data analytics software is required
Recommended Certifications
- Six Sigma: The preferred candidate will possess Six Sigma certification, showcasing expertise in data-driven process optimization and continuous improvement methodologies (this is not a hard requirement).
