Job Description

We are looking for a highly analytical Claims Specialist to join our company’s claims department. You will be responsible for reviewing and processing companywide claims, including auto and general liability. Our company is a Miami telecommunication construction company, and we specialize primarily in underground cabling.  The Claims Specialist will be responsible for working with the field team to collect all the documents required to file a claim, as well as with our safety team for claims prevention. The Claims Specialist needs to be professional, highly analytical, and possess in-depth knowledge of the latest policies and regulations in the insurance industry.

Responsibilities: Initial claims, analyze and investigate complicated insurance claims.  Tracking open claims and amounts due. Perform detailed site inspections. If necessary, provide well-informed court testimonies. Review and process new claims reports and court verdicts. Correspondence with insurance carriers and attorneys.  Uphold relationships and communication with insurance departments and clients. Organize and present claim review plans. Negotiate settlements. Resolve claims promptly. Stay up-to-date on local, state, and federal law changes in the insurance field. Collaborate with the safety team on claims prevention.

Requirements: A minimum of 5 years in a similar position Construction Industry experience is a plus. Strong analytical and organizational skills Excellent knowledge of the latest local, state and federal insurance-related policies Superb interpersonal and communication skills.
