    DESCRIPTION:

    • Blue World is looking for a construction laborer/technician to start immediately in our AZ office located in Glendale, AZ. The position will be responsible for field work on our construction sites. Candidates must be highly motivated, self-starters with great work ethic and desire to learn and improve,. as well as grow within our team. The desired candidate must have previous experience working varied shifts in the field under various climates. The ideal candidate must have a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn new skills and must be safety-oriented in all situations and environments.

    The compensation for this position is commensurate with experience applicable to the types of projects we work on.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Construction Experience – 0 to 10 years required; field experience a must in the areas of heavy site/civil, process systems, remediation, water treatment/wastewater construction. Work with pipeline installation, minor electrical work, concrete/masonry, work around and with hydraulic equipment is key.
    • Valid driver's license – required and in good standing.
    • Willingness to be in the field and work dilligently as part of our team.
    • Must provide references verifying experience.
    • High school diploma at a minimum, Associates degree in science/technology is preferred
    • Preferred 5 years of experience in remedial construction, process installation, and site work
    • Experience on both heavy construction and environmental remedial construction projects necessary
    • Position requires entrepreneurial spirit and strong work ethic as well as very good communication/listening skills
    • OSHA 40-hour training certification and any current updates are desired and candidates with this certification receive preference
    • Additional certifications such as OSHA 10 or 30-hour, Competent Person, MSHA, etc. also preferred
    • Tavel outside Phoenix metro will occasionally be required
    • This position is subject to a pre-employment criminal background check as well as a pre-employment drug test and random drug testing
    • Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving history
    • Must pass a pre-employment and annual physical

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Performing construction-related field activities in line with company standards
    • Using hand tools (including electric & gas powered) and construction equipment safely and efficiently
    • Communicating effectively with superiors as well as with fellow construction crew workers
    • Taking direction effectively and professionally from project managers and construction superintendents
    • Searching for jack-of-all-trades type of applicant:
    • Experience working with mechanical, pipeline work, electrical, fabrication, masonry and plumbing, ability to troubleshoot small engines and equipment, as well as welding preferred
    • Experience operating equipment such as skidsteers, loaders, forklifts/telehandlers, small excavators, etc. preferred; on the job opportunity to learn and devleop these skills will be provided
    • Work in outdoor environments most times, with some interior/indoor work.
    • Travel is required to surrounding states.

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

    • High school diploma or requivalent

    TYPICAL HOURS/ SCHEDULE:

    • Field schedule typically 7am – 4pm, Monday thru Friday with some weekends

    PAY: competitive salary commensurate with applicable experience
