    Job Description

    The Quality Testing Manager is responsible for the development, implementation, and management of a quality testing program that insures we’re delivering quality software programs to our internal and external users. Development includes identifying test protocols, researching automation testing options, identifying testing resources, and structuring the testing process to meet test criteria identified in user stories and outside of user stories. Implementation includes communicating, training, and potentially modifying current ADO processes to match proposed testing plans. Management will involve obtaining resources, ensuring test plans are followed, record quality results, and track upstream quality steps. The testing team will consist of a group of Engineering employees (Design & Detailing) and Brand employees (Project Managers, Sales Managers) that will report to this role while User Acceptance Testing is underway. While not in UAT, the team will focus on ensuring acceptance criteria is written sufficiently for software features by reviewing user stories and working with IT to update as needed. The role will also need to work with IT to ensure quality Regression, QA, and Unit testing has been completed. The Quality Testing Manager supports and engages in a collaborative work environment between testers that assures and validates that software tools and applications developed by the Software Development group function as specified and meet or exceed the requirements and expectations of the end-use customer.

    • Manage/supervise/execute testing processes and procedures in conjunction with Software Development and a virtual & in-person testing team
    • Communicate clearly to stakeholders, both in writing and verbally, specific test results, feedback, and any appropriate actions suggested
    • Lead Testing Team (6-10 individuals assigned yearly) and advise others regarding quality control for specific projects or applications as assigned by management
    • Proactively seek learning opportunities and stay current on new skills to bring benefit to the local program office and projects.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Minimum:

    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field or 4 years of equivalent work experience in lieu of degree
    • 3 year of relevant experience

    Preferred:

    • 4+ years of relevant experience
    • Experience with testing software
    • Experience leading a team
    • Internal product and systems knowledge
    • Competent in Engineering and Builder Services systems
