    Manager, Clinical Site Recruitment - Huntsville, AL

    The Manager, Site Recruitment is expected to grow clinical site and laboratory relationships that allow the company to more than double revenue over the next three years. The person will contract with new laboratory, hospital, clinic, academic and third-party sites around the globe that add to the company’s strengths as well as expand into new areas.

    Responsibilities:

    • Conduct business development activities for clinical sites and laboratories, including prospecting, qualifying, pitching, negotiating, contracting, and closing sourcing opportunities
    • Develop and maintain relationships with physicians and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to expand clinical site and laboratory partnership opportunities across different therapeutic areas
    • Collaborate with management, Clinical Site Operations and Clinical Site Development teams to define and develop sourcing business models that best serve our product needs and strategic goals
    • Keep abreast of the company’s product and service capabilities in order to support growth and communicate these capabilities to prospective site partners
    • Maintain the integrity of pipeline and account information in SalesForce database
    • Serve as a clinical expert both within the company and externally at key medical and scientific conferences and investigator meetings
    • Maintain clinical, scientific and technical expertise in specific therapeutic areas by reviewing scientific journals and attending industry meetings and conferences
    • Provide content for marketing activities that support existing and new clinical site and laboratory relationships
    • Respect the privacy of the personal information of patients, co-workers, and all individuals with whom the Company interacts
    • Ensure compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to the Company and its operations Education and/or Experience

    Requirements:

    • 3-5 years of healthcare sales or medical science liaison experience
    • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree, preferably in biological sciences or related discipline in the natural sciences/health care field or equivalent
    • Experience in a clinical research organization or business development in therapeutic specialties with familiarity of principles, concepts, standards of care and clinical study design
    • Highly developed organizational and analytical skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize time-sensitive activities and work both independently and as part of a team in a matrix environment
    • Excellent presentation, communication and relationship-building skills
    • Thrive in a challenging and results-oriented work environment
    • Demonstrate ability to develop trust and maintain integrity with external clinical and scientific experts, institutions, peers, and others
    • Motivation to communicate directly with potential site partners / investigators via both e-mail and phone
    • Excellent computer skills to include Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint, and Google Docs. SalesForce.com experience is desirable but not required
    • The ability to travel: 20-40%

    This job is performed primarily in an office environment, with regular travel to clinical site locations. The majority of the work day is spent either sitting or standing. Duties require the ability to communicate clearly with internal or external contacts both verbally and in writing.
