Job Description

• Leads the technical evaluation and selection process for improving application performance by overseeing gap analysis studies, feasible alternative solutions, and recommending and/or approving the scope of modifications.
• Complete infrastructure solution designs in which the hosting proposal includes design, cost estimate, and infrastructure.
• Responsibilities include, among others, managing teams in the identification of business requirements, functional design, process design (including scenario design, flow mapping), prototyping, testing, training, defining support procedures.
• Built and maintained Cloud Formation stacks for data pipelines and infrastructure deployments.
• Design and built server less data lake on AWS and deploy analytical pipelines in Kubernetes.
• Deploy data pipelines using Kafka, Apache Spark, and Cassandra on EC2 clusters and migrate ETL workloads from on-prem to AWS to use S3, Glue, EMR, Athena, Presto, and Redshift for analytics.
• Implement data lake on AWS S3 and built data pipelines to store and stage structured and unstructured data.
• Write Ansible playbooks for automating AWS infrastructure deployments and configuration management.
•  A strong understanding of how technologies affect the data path and integration points from the end user through the application and network infrastructure, (i.e. load balancers, web servers, middleware, databases, etc.)
• Good project management skills with an understanding of the project lifecycle and project management routines (resource engagement, WBS/project schedule, status reporting, project budget forecasting/variance analysis, meeting minutes, etc.).
•  Understanding of Midrange Infrastructure technologies (operating systems, applications, middleware, database, hardware, virtual servers, storage, network, and security).
• Will create functional and technical design specifications and assists in sizing technical requirements. 
• Integrates solutions with other applications and platforms outside the framework.
• Contributes to and reviews deployment plans and may schedule the installation of new modules, upgrades and fixes to the production environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience as an application cloud architect. 
• Possess a broad ranging cloud and architecture tehcnology background including architecture, implementation and delivery of largescale hardware and software systems in real-world situations.
• Be an expert in Cloud Architecture Development and cloud integrations.
• Cloud certifications in AWS, Azure would be highly preferred.
•  Accomplish hands-on skills with CI/CD & build automation tooling (Chef, Terraform, Ansible, etc.)
• Possess a strong understanding and practical experience in planning and delivering cloud migration projects from traditional on-premise deployment models.
•  Able to evaluate competing data solutions and select the best option for data ingestion, storage, reporting, visualization, analytics, microservices, and API’s given the current and future needs of the organization. 
• Experience in DevOps and/or continuous deployment and/or integration process and tools like Jenkins, Kubernetes.
• Experience applying enterprise integration patterns (SOA, API s, MicroServices, messaging and file-based).
• Experience in cloud computing (IaaS, SaaS, PaaS) and have familiarity with at least one prominent Cloud vendors (AWS, AZURE etc.).
