Position Overview
This role is ideal for a BCBA who enjoys focusing on clinical assessments and initial case development without the responsibility of ongoing supervision
The BCBA Assessment Specialist will conduct in-person assessments in clients' homes, develop treatment recommendations, and collaborate with the internal team to support a smooth transition of cases
Well-suited for clinicians who prefer short-term, focused client interactions and value flexibility and independence
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive ABA assessments (such as VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R, and functional behavior assessments) in clients' homes
Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results
Complete detailed and timely clinical documentation and reports
Collaborate with intake and clinical teams to ensure seamless case handoff
Maintain compliance with all ethical and professional standards
What You Will Not Be Responsible For
Ongoing case supervision
Supervision of RBTs or BTs
Long-term caseload management
Qualifications
Active BCBA certification in good standing
Master's degree in ABA, Psychology, Education, or a related field
Experience conducting assessments and developing treatment plans
Strong clinical writing and organizational skills
Ability to travel to client homes within the assigned area
Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications
Experience using a variety of assessment tools
Strong time management skills and ability to work independently in a field-based role
