    About Motivated Learners

Motivated Learners is a collaborative and compassionate ABA therapy organization serving children with autism and developmental differences. With clinics in Des Plaines and Wheeling, IL, and Kenosha – our mission is to empower children and families to reach their highest potential through individualized, evidence-based care.

We value connection, creativity, and continuous learning for our clients and our team alike.

    Position Overview

We’re seeking a full-time Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our growing Lake County team. This role offers partially remote flexibility—balancing remote clinical responsibilities with in-person sessions, team collaboration, and client observations.

This is an excellent opportunity for a BCBA who values autonomy, collaboration, and a supportive culture grounded in professional growth and high-quality care.

    Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive behavioral and skills assessments, including VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R, functional assessments, and ongoing progress evaluations.

Develop and update individualized, evidence-based treatment plans informed by assessment of findings, client needs, and family goals.

Provide direct clinical oversight, coaching, and performance feedback to RBTs and behavior technicians to ensure effective and ethical service delivery.

Model and train best-practice ABA procedures, including prompting, reinforcement, data collection, and behavior-reduction strategies.

Analyze client data regularly, identify trends, create data-driven updates, and ensure meaningful progress toward goals.

Deliver structured parent/caregiver training to promote generalization, support family confidence, and improve outcomes across environments.

Collaborate with families, school teams, and multidisciplinary providers to ensure continuity of care and reinforcement of therapeutic objectives.

Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in alignment with BACB standards, Medicaid/insurance requirements, and internal policies.

Participate actively in team meetings, clinical case reviews, and professional development, contributing to a culture of learning and excellence.

Support a positive, inclusive, and growth-oriented team environment, modeling professionalism, empathy, and mission-driven work.

    Qualifications

Active BCBA certification (in good standing with the BACB).

Master's degree in applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or related field.

Experience conducting assessments and supervising RBTs preferred.

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and time management skills.

Comfort working in a hybrid model (remote + in-person visits in Kenosha).

Reliable transportation for local client sessions and team meetings.

    Compensation & Benefits

Competitive salary: $75,000–$100,000 based on experience.

    401(k) with 4% employer contribution.

    Medical, dental, and vision insurance.

Flexible, partially remote schedule promoting work-life balance.

    Supportive clinical leadership and mentorship.

Ongoing professional development and CEU support up to $500.

Paid time off and opportunities for advancement

Flexible work from home options available.
