Board Certified Behavioral Analyst
Northeast Center for Youth and Families, Inc. has a full-time opening for a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to be part of the Residential Services clinical team that will focus on the behavioral and mental challenges that latency-age youth and female adolescent youth face in their well-being.
The primary role of the Board Certified Behavioral Analyst is to support the development, implementation ,and refinement of programmatic and individual behavioral supports for clients with social, emotional, and behavioral health needs. The Board Certified Behavioral Analyst will function as a specialist whose expertise will increase the capacity of all team members to effectively provide behavioral support to clients and will also function as the primary interventionist in the modeling of data collection, conducting assessments and formulating individual treatment plans, and providing group work to youth, as well as training staff and assisting youth in meeting treatment goals.
The Board Certified Behavioral Analyst will develop and implement assessment tools to conduct functional behavior assessments and analyses when appropriate and develop appropriate behavior strategies to teach appropriate behavior and reduce maladaptive behaviors.
Board Certified Behavioral Analysts provide ongoing support and create and present training workshops to direct support professionals and other individuals in support roles. The BCBA also meets as needed with supervised staff to discuss ongoing client issues and provide support as necessary.
A Board Certified Behavioral Analyst with NCYF develops behavior plans/treatment plans for all clients with a focus on teaching and other strategies for reducing problematic behaviors, as well as providing crisis intervention as needed, including but not limited to verbal discussion/processing of events with clients and staff and the application of physical intervention methods to reduce the risk on injury to clients or staff.
The Board Certified Behavioral Analyst must maintain all data, paperwork, and communication between personal care staff and families, and to provide ongoing feedback to government related agencies. The BCBA will also perform other duties as assigned by the Clinical Director of Residential Services. Candidate must have experience with the writing of IEP goals and objectives/benchmarks.
NCYF Board Certified Behavioral Analysts will provide transportation for clients to and from site (in agency vehicles as well as personal vehicle).
Qualifications include:
A Master's Degree in Applied Behavioral Analysis; Psychology; Human Services; or Special Education
Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA) Certification.
Approved CORI & DCF background checks (preformed by the EEC)
Approved driving background check
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
