About the Role:
Join Sweetwater Care as a Board Certified Music Therapist in Phoenix, AZ, where you will use the healing power of music to enhance the lives of our clients. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a supportive and creative environment.
Responsibilities:
Conduct individualized music therapy sessions for clients of all ages and abilities
Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to each client’s needs and goals
Assess client progress and adjust therapy techniques as necessary
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate music therapy into care plans
Provide documentation and reporting on client progress and outcomes
Engage in continuous professional development and training to enhance skills
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science degree, Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Therapy, or a Bachelor of Music degree
Completed all educational and clinical training requirements as required by the American Music Therapy Association inclusive of a six (6) month internship at an approved site as well as pre-clinical hours completed during their academic coursework
Hold the MT-BC credential as issued by the Certification Board for Music Therapists
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to connect with clients and families
Passion for using music as a therapeutic tool to improve mental health
Knowledge of various music genres and therapeutic techniques
Current CPR and First Aid certification preferred
