Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven Boat Salesperson to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for boating, excellent interpersonal skills, and a proven track record in sales. As a Boat Salesperson, you will guide customers through the boat-buying process, build lasting relationships, and contribute to the dealership’s success.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with customers to understand their boating needs, preferences, and budget.
- Showcase and demonstrate a variety of boats, highlighting features, specifications, and benefits.
- Provide expert advice on boat models, accessories, financing options, and maintenance services.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships to drive repeat business and referrals.
- Negotiate sales terms and close deals while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and new boat models.
- Collaborate with the sales team, finance department, and service staff to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Participate in boat shows, open houses, and promotional events to generate leads.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions in the CRM system.
Qualifications:
- Proven sales experience, preferably in marine, automotive, or high-value retail industries.
- Strong knowledge of boats and the boating lifestyle (boating experience is a plus).
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
- Ability to build rapport and trust with a diverse customer base.
- Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset and ability to work independently.
- Basic computer skills, including CRM Lightspeed software and Microsoft Office.
- Valid driver’s license and New York State boating license or certification
- Availability to work weekends, holidays, and during boat shows as needed.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with marine financing and warranty programs.
- Experience with social media or digital marketing to generate leads.
- Enthusiasm for outdoor recreational activities and the boating community.
