Software Engineer Intern - Data/ML Work out of our Miami, FL office for the summer! You won't be going on coffee runs for the office in a marketing internship with Boats Group! We are looking for a software engineer intern on the Data/ML team for the summer! We've just begun our journey to transform our current SQLServer-based data warehouse into a next-generation data platform on AWS consisting of data lakes, high-quality and performant consumption-oriented data products, and self-service analytics tooling. We are looking to build ML and AI systems that leverage the rich data sets to power personalization and improve customer experience and want you to help us along the way! What You'll Do * Collaborate with experienced data engineers and analysts to design and develop software solutions that leverage data and machine learning techniques. * Assist in the implementation and optimization of data pipelines, data storage, and data processing systems. * Apply your expertise in the development of scalable and efficient algorithms for data analysis, predictive and descriptive statistical modeling, and recommendation systems. * Collaborate with multiple teams to comprehend their requirements and identify opportunities where data science can contribute to clinical, operational, and business objectives. * Perform code reviews, write unit tests, and contribute to the overall software development lifecycle. * Conduct analyses, visualize data, and deliver presentations on data science findings to stakeholders. What You Should Have * Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. * Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, and Java. * Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment. * Strong communication skills to effectively articulate ideas and collaborate with team members. * Familiarity with data processing frameworks and libraries (e.g Spark, Pandas, NumPy) is a plus. * Knowledge of machine learning concepts and algorithms is desirable. * Experience with data manipulation, analysis, and visualization tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau) is a plus.
