    JOB TITLE:    HR Generalist

    DEPARTMENT: Administration

     

    POSITION SUMMARY:   Performs Human Resources related duties at the professional level and may carry out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: employee relations, training, employment, labor relations, and affirmative action and employment equity programs.  Will also perform as payroll back-up and will be involved in implementation and administration of benefits and benefit negotiations along with other various human resource functions including but not limited to: talent recruitment, talent acquisition, onboarding, training, compensation, benefit plans, payroll, HR systems, and employee records.

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    • Interviews, screens, and recruits job applicants to fill entry level, professional and technical job openings.
    • Facilitates and/or provides training (including orientation) to the workforce.
    • Conducts exit interviews and analyzes data and makes recommendations to the management team for corrective action and continuous improvement.
    • Represents the company for any unemployment claims.
    • Prepares benefit negotiation packages for Management evaluation and approval.
    • Compliments payroll administration, 401-K management and employee benefit facilitation
    • Maintains and coordinates employee recognition programs.
    • Partners with management to communicate various Human Resources policies, procedures, laws, standards and government regulations.
    • Responds to employee relation issues such as employee complaints, harassment allegations, and civil rights complaints.
    • Represents management in investigating, answering, and settling grievances, by arranging and scheduling hearings between personnel, supervisor and the Management team.
    • Responds to all EEOC and/or NLRB charges and Workers Compensation hearings
    • Evaluates, recommends and amends Employee Manual information and materials

     

     

     

    EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS REQUIRED:

     

    • One to two years in human resources.
    • Ability to objectively coach employees and management through complex, difficult, and emotional issues.
    • The ability to research and analyze various different type of data information.
    • Must have the ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues, by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation or government law.
    • Ability to organize and prioritize work with exceptional communication skills.

    COMPENSATION:

    The compensation package will be tailored to meet the qualifications of the candidate.  However, we ask that you indicate in your application, the compensation level that you would accept to be employed with our company.
