    Bobst / Embossing Operator | Second Shift | Roselawn, OH

    The Embossing Operator performs all tasks in make-ready, preventative maintenance and production run assignments. The Embossing Operator is responsible for operating electrically powered machines to emboss metal plates.

    Responsibilities:

    • ****Loads machines with blank paper.
    • Sets guides to hold cover in position and adjusts table height to obtain correct depth of impression.
    • Positions, installs, and locks embossed plate in chase and locks chase in bed of press.
    • Sorts, assembles, and proofs completed work.
    • Monitors machine operation, and makes adjustments as necessary to ensure proper operation.
    • Operates auxiliary machines.
    • Reads job orders to determine the type of work to be done, the quantities to be produced, and the materials needed.
    • Sets up and adjusts machines, regulating factors such as speed, ink flow, and focus.
    • Cleans the machines, performs minor repairs, and reports other repairs as needed.
    • Delivers completed paperwork.
    • Monitors the production during run quality, maintaining all required samples.
    • Must work well with others in a team environment.
    • Recording of time and production for job costing.
    • Ability to meet production standards.
    • Performs all required preventative maintenance in accordance to production schedule.
    • Maintains a clean and organized work area and press.
    • Observe company work rules and safety regulations.
    • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

    Qualifications:

    • 2+ years of embossing experience
    • Familiarity with a Bobst machine
    • Basic math skills – ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
    • Basic reading skills – ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical information and procedures.
    • Be able to pass color blindness test and have good judgment of color.
    • Dexterity of hands.
    • Good computer skills.
    • Reasoning ability.
    • Ability to meet multiple deadlines.
    • Must be able to work any shift, weekends, and overtime as needed.

    Schedule:

    Monday - Friday 2:30pm-10:00pm

    Pay:

    $20-25/hr based on related experience
