Body Renew Alaska is currently hiring for a janitorial position. Janitors will support the facility in performing a variety of cleaning tasks to keep the facility in a clean, healthy, and orderly standard. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Greeting all members and guests enthusiastically and professionally

Demonstrate a professional and positive demeanor with members and guests

Clean and dust gym equipment and machines

Maintain a clean facility: locker rooms, gym floor, gym equipment, and office areas

Sweeps, mops, scrub, and vacuums floor of all areas, including locker rooms, weight area, fitness rooms, and office areas

Clean and dust mirrors, countertops, glass, and windows of all areas, including locker rooms, weight area, fitness rooms, and office areas

Order and restock all club supplies

Perform special cleaning projects as assigned

Perform assigned cleaning tasks during the day

Complete daily and weekly scope of work

Report all facility maintenance issues to Maintenance Supervisor or facility General Manager

Knowledge of department policies and procedures

Required Qualifications:

Candidates must be at least 16 years or older to apply

Understand general cleaning practices and procedures

Effective communication (verbal and writing skills)

Understand and follow written instructions

Must have the ability to multi-task

Attention to detail

Maintain a clean organized environment

Work independently in the absence of supervision

Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with management, peers, and members

Must acquire CPR certification within 30 days of employment. Provided by Body Renew at no cost to the employee

Physical Demands:

While performing duties for this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, and use hands and arms

Frequently required to kneel, crouch, crawl, balance, and stoop

Regularly required to lift up to 25 pounds. Occasionally required to lift up to 50 pounds

Required usage of cleaning chemicals and cleaning tool
