The body shop detailer ensures repaired vehicles are cleaned, finished, and presented to customers in excellent condition. This role supports the collision repair process by preparing vehicles before work begins and delivering a polished final product after repairs are complete.
Key Responsibilities
• Clean and detail vehicle interiors and exteriors to a high standard
• Wash, dry, polish, and wax vehicles; vacuum and shampoo interiors
• Prepare surfaces for paint or repair by removing contaminants
• Perform light buffing, polishing, and overspray removal
• Inspect completed work for quality and report any issues
• Safely operate detailing tools, pressure washers, and buffers
• Move vehicles within the shop and parking areas
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and restock supplies
Qualifications
• Experience in automotive detailing or related work preferred
• Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment
• Familiarity with detailing tools, chemicals, and safety procedures
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to stand, bend, and lift throughout the shift
