Sparrow Company is looking for an Auto Body Technician that will be responsible for repairing and restoring vehicles to factory specifications. This position requires hands-on experience in body repair, attention to detail, and a commitment to producing high-quality work. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced shop environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

• Return vehicles to factory specifications following repair procedures.
• Remove vehicle trim and components to gain access to damaged areas.
• Fill depressions with body filler and ensure a smooth, quality repair.
• Remove damaged parts using power tools and cutting torch.
• Bolt or weld replacement parts into position using appropriate equipment.
• Straighten bent automobile frames using a frame rack.
• Section and repair vehicle body structures as needed.
• File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces using hand and power tools.
• Align and replace panels, doors, and other body components.
• Aim and adjust headlights.
• Perform cosmetic and finishing repairs.
• Use specialized equipment to restore metal frames and body sections to original specifications.
• Develop efficient repair methods for each job to ensure accuracy and productivity.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Prior experience in automotive body repair required.
• Must be dependable and have reliable transportation.
• Ability to follow directions and work well with others.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Occasionally exposed to hot, cold, wet, or humid conditions.
