We are looking for an experienced Body Systems Tooling Engineer for an equipment installation project on-site at the client's manufacturing facility in Lake Orion, MI Previous experience in the evaluation of Body Shops' Final Line process, equipment fabrication, and installation

Must have solid knowledge of:

Hang-on Part Alignment: "fit and finish" (gap and flushness) of movable parts like doors, hoods, and trunk lids

Weld and Joint Finishing, understanding spot welding or laser brazing processes

Dimensional Accuracy Verification, High-precision sensors or gauging systems

Sealing and Cleaning use of underbody sealing or specialized adhesives to prepare for the paint shop's electro-coating (E-coat) process

Works with clients' engineering teams to evaluate Body Shops' Final Line process

Provide technical Support to tooling suppliers during the equipment fabrication phase. Inspect tooling to ensure the client's specs and requirements are met, verify the delivery schedule, and participate in the buy-off process Support equipment shipping / receiving to ensure the timely delivery Oversee equipment installation on-site at Lake Orion Manufacturing Facility Work with the PM, Superintendents, and Project Engineers to deliver the B/S Final Line on Time and in accordance with design intent

Must have Previous Automotive OEM Experience with B/S Experience Solid Understanding of B/S Final Line Process and Equipment Ability to travel to tooling suppliers' fabrication shops Work on-site at Client's Manufacturing Facility in Lake Orion full-time
