As the Assistant Soft Stylist, you are responsible for bringing to life the soft styling vision of Boll & Branch in close partnership with our Senior and Associate Soft Stylists. You will be responsible for the organization of all current soft samples and incoming samples. You will collaborate with the soft team and evolve our soft goods style from concept to completion through lifestyle and product photography. You will help to establish our soft styling direction and be part of developing a style guide for our e-comm lifestyles and campaign photography shoots. You will have the opportunity to work on video and social shoots. You are able to multitask with freelance soft stylist(s) on occasion. Your position will work closely with the Style Director to shape the soft vision for the brand. Your key partners are members of the Style Team, Photo Team and Creative Team. You have exceptional taste, love fine fabrics, and have innovative visual approaches for focused shots. Your expertise might lend your styling beyond the set and possibly in our physical spaces, setting soft styling standards in our retail store too. 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Develop the Boll & Branch interior aesthetic through on-set soft styling
• Prepare and arrange soft product from concept to life with or without talent
• Partner with members of the Style Team, Photo Team and freelancers to execute vision for editorial shots while in studio and on location
• Propose innovative ideas for carousel of PDP images including breadth of assortment and color assortment focused photography
• Maintain samples, insert props and all soft related equipment 
• Elevate and support overall look and feel of brand direction across all channels

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to work with minimal direction, showing strong initiative
• 1+ years of styling experience freelance or for a production studio, preferably with an emphasis in home interiors
• Experience and knowledge of soft styling techniques
• Understanding of digital photography, production studio pace and efficiency
• Background in art, design, fashion, merchandising, or photography
• Goal-oriented personality and team-player attitude
• Confident and strong verbal and written communication skills that allow you to effortlessly convey complex concepts
• Proactive mindset who is comfortable taking the lead on a project or working collaboratively 
• Works well under pressure, manages competing priorities, and consistently delivers high-quality work that improves the overall creative 
• Bachelor's degree of equivalent work experience
