Main Objective of Position:
Ensuring the efficient electrical operation of Plating, Molding and all associated equipment. Train, support and lead all Maintenance team members and continually increase ability, competence and effective of maintenance team.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Maintain Electrical Maintenance and PM program for all electrical controls and components.
Design and implement a Controls program for both Molding and Plating including, but not limited to HMI’S, VFD’S and Facility controls. (Includes program storage and archiving)
Schedule, train, supervise and assist Electrical Maintenance in trouble shooting electrical systems.
Provide afterhours controls support for 2nd and 3rd shift.
Implement effective Data collections programs (Run rates, process times etc.)
Ensure efficient repair schedules and review repair cost estimates
Assist Maintenance in upkeep and scheduling of determined area of Plating.
Contribute the implementation of best practices to improve operational performance by continuous improvement projects.
Help to develop clear accountability for maintenance material spend and implement strategy to reduce expenditure
Ensure efficient equipment of facility operation
Fill in as acting supervisor when the Supervisor is not available to ensure the efficient operation of the Maintenance group during his absence.
Required Education:
Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
Professional Experience:
A minimum of five years’ experience in an automotive manufacturing supervisory role.
Specialized Knowledge, Skills and Requirements:
Extensive experience in problem solving, both individually and in group efforts.
Experience in a Manufacturing environment (preferably in injection molding or plating)
Experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical controls and software operating systems
PLC trouble shooting and programming
VFD, HMI and Remote I/O knowledge and experience
Ability to read blue prints, electrical and mechanical drawings
Familiar with operation of industrial compressors, chillers, boilers, pumps and ventilation systems
Excellent attendance and the ability to work a flexible schedule are essential for this position.
