  • Responsibilities

    Main Objective of Position

    Ensuring the efficient operation of building/facility and all installed equipment. Select, train and manage all Maintenance team members and continually increase ability, competence and effectiveness of maintenance team.

    Tasks and Responsibilities

    Design and implement predictive and preventive maintenance programs for facility and plant equipment

    Manage maintenance team members to ensure proper procedures are being followed. Make recommendations on employment actions, and evaluate performance of employees.

    Design and implement preventive maintenance programs for facility and all plant equipment

    Schedule, train, supervise and motivate employees for the maintenance department

    Coordinate work performed by outside vendors

    Ensure efficient repair schedules and review repair cost estimates

    Manage, control and monitor inventory of spare parts

    Implement and monitor safety policies and procedures of the department

    Contribute the implementation of best practices to improve operational performance

    Develop clear accountability for maintenance material spend and implement strategy to manage expenditure

    Key Figures (Quantities, Budgets, etc.)

    Technical availability

    Completion of personal training goals

    Internal/external maintenance costs

    Overall uptime of equipment

    Required Education

    Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.

    Professional Experience (Years/ Experience)

    A minimum of five years’ experience in an automotive manufacturing supervisory role.

    Specialized Knowledge, Skills and Requirements

    Extensive experience in problem solving, both individually and in group efforts.

    Experience in a Manufacturing environment (preferably in a plating on plastic & injection molding facility)

    Familiarity with pneumatics, hydraulics and electrical controls

    PLC trouble shooting and programming

    Proficient welding techniques plastic and metal

    Ability to read blue prints and drawings

    Familiar with operation of industrial compressors, chillers, boilers

    Excellent attendance and the ability to work a flexible schedule are essential for this position.

    Experience implementing maintenance training/skill enhancement programs is preferred
