    Sign on: $2,500.00 upon hire for one year and $2500.00 upon one year anniversary for one more year.

    Summary of Position:

    Performs and interprets, when appropriate, all diagnostic testing available in the clinical laboratory of Bonner General Health.

    Bonner General Health’s full-service laboratory provides advanced laboratory services in clinical chemistry, hematology, microbiology and transfusion services for both in-patients and out-patients. This fast paced and dynamic department is staffed with experienced certified Medical Laboratory Scientists/Technologist, Technicians, Phlebotomist and Assistants. We provide 24 hour coverage using state-of-the-art analyzers, with results available within a few hours for most tests ordered.

    Our Medical Lab Technicians and Technologist perform and interpret, when appropriate, all diagnostic testing available in the clinical laboratory of Bonner General Health. They must have working knowledge, competency and organizational skills necessary to perform all diagnostic testing in all departments of the clinical laboratory; chemistry, hematology, coagulation, immunology, Immunohematology and basic STAT microbiology (Microbiology competency required for gram stains, culture set-up and point-of-care micro kits)

    Must have working phlebotomy knowledge of specimen collection requirements, complications of phlebotomy and have competent phlebotomy skills for all age groups

    Responsible for proficiency surveys as assigned with an 80% or better average score  Working knowledge and skills necessary to perform and monitor quality control on all testing; trouble shoot all quality control problems timely to assure accuracy of all patient results, with proper tracking and documentation of all corrective action..

    Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred; must have completed a training program in an accredited school of Medical Technology.

    Experience: At least one (1) year of continuous job related experience is preferred.

    Licensure/Certification: Must be registered as a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist with the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or equivalent; current BLS (AHA) certification.
