    Bonner General Health Community Hospice is the only Not for Profit Community Hospice serving Bonner and Boundary Counties.

    Our Hospice provides care for an average daily census of 20 patients in their homes. Our Hospice team is very close knit, providing highly personalized, compassionate care in all they do. Our team are highly dedicated, skilled, and compassionate coming from many different back grounds offering a wide range of skills and work experience.

    Our interdisciplinary team includes a Physician Medical Director, a Nurse Practitioner, Nurse Case Managers, Certified Nurses Aides, Social workers,Chaplains, Volunteers, a Volunteer and Bereavement Coordinator, Hospital pharmacists and Therapists, our amazing office support team, as well as support from ancillary departments through our organization who all strive to provide excellence in quality compassionate care with a high degree of professionalism, knowledge and skill. Our nurses provide availability to our patients and their families 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

    Our department is looking for an individual who can work autonomously while functioning as a integral part of our team centered patient care. Someone with a passion for end of life care, who can critical think through variety of situations and who provide the highest compassion and caring support for our patients and their families, our volunteers and our community. This position coordinates our Bereavement programs, provides some direct patient care in MSW Hospice role, provides Community education and coordinates fundraising events for Hospice.

    Education: MSW degree from a school of social work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE), and one year of experience in a health care setting OR have baccalaureate degree in psychology, sociology, or other field related to social work, and at least one year of social work experience in a health care setting. (Must be supervised by a MSW from a school of social work accredited by the CSWE who has one year of experience in a health care setting)

    Experience:Past experience providing Education preferred; Fundraising and grant procurement experience preferred; demonstrated experience in pertinent grief and bereavement issues preferred; hospice experience preferred

    Licensure/Certifications: Current Idaho Social Work License; (or meet conditions as noted above in education). BLS certification(AHA); Valid driver's license and proof of liability insurance for personal vehicle
