Department: Human Resources
Status: Full-time, Exempt
Shift: Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm (hours may vary with the needs of the department)
Position Summary: As a member of Senior Leadership, this position is responsible for the administration of Human Resource activities such as recruitment, employee relations, training/development, compensation and employee benefits. Responsible for helping to meet the vision of making Bonner General Health the best place to provide care through communication and teamwork.
Essential Functions:
Ability to promote a positive culture and drive organizational change
Provides Human Resources advice, counsel and guidance to all staff, applying good judgment and establishing credibility
Communicates timely and effectively to all employees when issues arise; handles group communication effectively, hearing all sides of issues and demonstrating a calm, methodical (reassuring) approach to addressing concerns
Champions teamwork and cooperation throughout the hospital
Resource for EEOC, FLSA, ADA, FMLA and additional employment law/practices
Evaluates options and provides recommendations on compensation and benefits
Ensures compliance with DNV regulations
Maintains effective working relationship with the Union
Effectively represent BGH in Union contract negotiations
Investigates grievances brought forth by members of the Collective Bargaining Unit
Develops strategies to ensure that HR initiatives and programs such as recruitment, onboarding, team-building and recognition reinforce the hospital’s culture and values
Responsible for keeping the Personnel Policies and Procedures current
Supervisory oversight of the Education Department
Facilitates the development of Human Resources goals and strategies
Liaison for unemployment compensation
Responsible for fostering an environment of open communication and trust
Maintains strict confidentiality regarding knowledge of all patient information (HIPAA), confidential staff and hospital business
Demonstrates the ability to communicate and receive constructive feedback in a positive manner

Education:
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business, or other related field
Masters’ degree preferred
Experience:
5 years in management required
Healthcare experience preferred
Proven ability to drive organizational change
Experience partnering with HR services to address the needs of differing departments while considering alignment with hospital objectives
Experience and proficiency in functional components of human resources including: talent acquisition, engagement, talent development, employee relations, compensation, and benefits
