STATUS: Full-time; 80 hours per pay period
SHIFT: Days; Monday – Friday 8:00am – 4:30 pm
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position performs professional and technical work in the field of human resources administration. Responsible for position classification, compensation, employee benefits, payroll preparation, employee relations and analytical work as related to studies, surveys and other assignments within the Human Resources Department.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for accurate entry of new employee information and setup in Meditech (HRIS), Kronos and other systems
Coordinates with Accounting on processing payroll including but not limited to: inputting new employees, completing all status changes, completes specific computer payroll processes and generates reports in the processing of payroll
Processes employee status/position changes, completes HR specific payroll processes and generates reports for management
Manages HR specific data dictionaries in HRIS to ensure appropriate functioning of system
Processes employee insurance enrollments, entering appropriate deduction codes
Prepares employee separation documentation and conducts exit interviews
Works with the Idaho Hospital Association (IHA) on unemployment claims and hearings
Responsible for annual Federal EEO-1 reporting
Coordination of all employee leave of absence requests (i.e. LOA, FMLA, Military, etc.)
Assists with annual 403(b) audits
Conducts new employee orientation and Benefits Orientations during General Orientation
Creates spreadsheet reports using data extracted from HRIS for management use
Provides back up to the HR Director for employee relations
Coordination of the Workers’ Compensation program, return to work and liaison for worker compensation
Participates in the development and maintenance of human resource records, ensuring compliance with Federal, State and DNV requirements
Conducts research, performs analysis, and makes recommendations regarding the administration of job descriptions, performance evaluations and job competencies
Prepares written summaries and reports for special assignments or projects
Serves as a resource for EEO, FLSA, ADA and administration of human resources policies
Effectively communicates with diverse populations both verbally and in writing
Establishes and maintains positive, interpersonal relationships with managers, employees, job applicants and the public
Assists in the development and revision of human resources policies and procedures
Participates in the designing, and developing of human resource forms
Performs other duties as assigned
Skills: Professional Human Resources skills, Ability to interpret, apply and explain rules, regulations, policies and procedures, Ability to read, write legibly and comprehend the written and spoken word in English, Basic computer literacy and ability to effectively learn new software programs required
Education: Bachelor degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience: 3 years in Human Resource position, Computer experience including word processing, spreadsheet development and HRIS maintenance
License: None
Supervisory: May supervise clerical support staff in Director’s absence
