We are seeking a full-time board-certified Family Medicine Physician with surgical obstetrics training who has experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings, is passionate about full scope care and wants to work with us to build an integrated, sustainable patient-focused primary care team.

Bonner General Health is at the heart of downtown Sandpoint, a beautiful small town located on the shores of Lake Pend Oreille in North Idaho. BGH has served Sandpoint and the surrounding area of over 70 years and offers a network of outpatient clinics as well as a wide range of hospital services including inpatient and ICU level care, surgery services, laboratory and imaging, hospice, therapy services and more to meet the needs of our growing and vibrant community.

The Sandpoint area is known for Lake Pend Oreille, Schweitzer Mountain and the many biking, hiking, ATV and snowmobile trails that weave around the lake and into the nearby Selkirk and Cabinet Mountains. Our beautiful lake is the largest in Idaho and hosts a wide variety of pursuits from fishing and boating to swimming in a quiet cove or lounging on a sandy beach. Schweitzer Mountain is a family friendly resort that boasts world-class skiing in the winter as well as mountain biking, zip lines and adventure camps for kids in the summer. Sandpoint and the surrounding area are truly an adventurer’s paradise!

Our Clinic: Bonner General Health’s Family Practice Clinic provides full spectrum, whole-person healthcare to our community. We offer chronic disease management, problem-focused visits, prenatal care and a variety of procedures, as well as preventive and wellness visits across the age spectrum. Our amazing team includes board-certified family physicians, nurse practitioners, ample support staff and a dynamic front office team.

We are currently unable to provide full obstetrical services at Bonner General, but have plans in place reopen our Labor and Delivery unit in the coming year after completing a renovation of the space.

Qualifications and Experience:

Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O);

2+ years of experience practicing independently

Board-certified in Family Medicine

Obstetrical fellowship preferred, but not required depending on the level of experience

Experienced with inpatient pediatrics and able to take call
